Bowie Talks is a series of conferences, speeches and interviews to listen to experts and some of David Bowie’s collaborators, such as the fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto, the promoter Daniel Grinbank, the documentary director Francis Whately or Denis O’Regan, official photographer of three Bowie’s international tours. Together with experts, journalists and professors from the UPF Barcelona School of Management, they will analyze Bowie’s work and personality from different disciplines: audiovisual creation, cultural journalism, creative writing, finances, music industry, brand identity, and the world of fashion. They will offer multi-faceted view to gain a deep understanding on the multidisciplinary talent of one of the most important iconic artists from of the twentieth century.
The UPF Barcelona School of Management, school for graduate courses and masters from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, joins the ‘David Bowie is’ exhibition to provide a dialog between the academic knowledge of their professors and the artist’s collaborators experience. This is a great opportunity to approach an unconventional and provocative artist, and to review the culture, arts and contemporary social pulse keeping a view towards the future.
